You can't always count on the weather but one thing you can count on is that Byron Bay phenomenon Spell & the Gypsy collective will ALWAYS create beautiful clothes and the latest collection 'sayulita' is no exception... Pastel floral prints, ruffles, lace and flattering cuts, TAKE MY MONEY!!! Local boutique Milc asked me to grab a few of my favourite pieces to photograph on our pillow-lipped muse Rosie.
Spring is on the horizon but unpredictable weather led us to the newly renovated Amelia Park lodge - an old homestead that is now an amazing restaurant. We planned for a little bit of frolicking in their ancient ivy covered pavilion, and, in a brief moment of sunshine, we ended up dancing around on the lawn in front of the old windmill. It set the perfect scene for our washed out/Australiana/nostalgic/vintage inspired shoot.
I love, love, LOVE winging it on a shoot. Some things you just can't plan for and making it up as you go can lead to all kinds of magic. And of course having a cruisy model always makes for a fun morning (thanks Rosie my love, its always such a pleasure seeing that smile of yours).
My favourite FAVORITE piece from this range is the lace dress with the flared sleeve detail and yes, I have added that particular piece to my collection... Everything available in store and online from Milc homewares.
Happy weekend lovely folk.
